About Talk Dharti To Me

Talk Dharti To Me is a youth-run, community-led digital magazine focused on sustainability through a climate lens and an intersectional approach. TDTM values solution-oriented storytelling, collaboration, and community learning. Talk Dharti To Me is a Mumbai-based, remote-first organisation and an equal opportunity employer.

Volunteering Option

Volunteers are recognised through a structured volunteer recognition policy that emphasises consistent effort, responsibility, and long-term engagement, with opportunities for certificates, letters of experience, and recommendations over time. Volunteers are acknowledged regularly, with formal recognition milestones at three months and beyond.

Internship Option

This role may also be undertaken as an unpaid internship for students or early-career designers seeking practical experience in visual communication and sustainability media. As an intern, the Graphic Designer is expected to contribute consistently to defined design outputs, participate in feedback and review sessions, and build a portfolio through published work with Talk Dharti To Me. Mentorship and guidance are provided by senior team members. Internship confirmations, certificates, and letters of experience are offered based on the duration and consistency of engagement.

Role Description

This role is suited to a visual thinker who enjoys translating ideas into compelling designs and is interested in sustainability, media, and storytelling.

The Graphic Designer creates visual assets for social media, websites, newsletters, and other outputs, working closely with artists, writers, and the web manager.

Strong creativity, attention to detail, and proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, and Canva are preferred.

The team works in a hybrid model with weekly in-person meetups and a collaborative, curious, and accountable culture.

Our Culture

At Talk Dharti To Me, we operate as a digital-first collective rooted in trust, autonomy, and radical respect. We strip away traditional hierarchies to create a flat, flexible environment where everyone—regardless of age or educational background—is treated as a competent adult and collaborates on a first-name basis.

We rely on our team members to be self-motivated leaders who take initiative, manage their own deadlines, and communicate with clarity and promptness.

While we thrive as a fully remote team, we actively ground our digital efforts with opportunities for in-person community building, ensuring that while our structures are flexible, our commitment to the mission and each other is solid.
