Climate change communication refers to the various mechanisms via which information, knowledge, ideas, emotions, meaning, values, and behaviours related to climate change pass between individuals and through society.

Many climate change communications get the risk and probable terrible outcomes right, but get it wrong on how we strive to achieve the essential aim of not just raising public concern, but also inspiring people to action. That's because it appeals to logic, and logic isn't what motivates people.
