Bootcamp
Why a bootcamp?
Climate change is the biggest challenge faced by humanity today that affects all areas of our lives. Whether it is a war over fossil fuels or disappearing food diversity, water-borne diseases or bad urban planning - all modern problems can be linked back to climate collapse.
Talk Dharti To Me has been at the forefront of environmental publishing in India. Since 2021, we have been chronicling India’s climate realities through youth voices. We have worked with 90+ youth to build 21st century skills that help youth find their way into meaningful careers. Our community spans over 2000+ readers a month and earthlings in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Delhi, and more!
This summer 2026, we decided to take our climate action to high school students to prepare them for a 1.5°C world. This bootcamp is for teens don’t want complicated climate jargon, exams, and boring lectures - we speak to students in their language and build creative skills that bring their ideas to life.

About the program
_gif.gif)
Our curriculum has no grades or scores. We have creative assignments like campaign design, urban hackathons, zine-making, climate fiction writing, and creative presentations to help students navigate 21st century life skills like reflection, real-life cases, imagination, and critical thinking.
This bootcamp is designed for the lawyers, artists, philosophers, business leaders, and scientists of tomorrow that dare to do things differently. We cultivate individuality and freedom of thought in students that are asked to think between straight lines.
Unlike an internship, this program is designed to be an immersive experience that helps youth solve real life problems with agency and creative thinking.
About the program

Our Young Climate Leaders Bootcamp is designed for curious young adults that want to learn hands-on climate knowledge and skills. Teens learn hope and action from experienced youth in the climate movement, not jaded experts that want you to ‘be realistic’.

Why this program?
Why this Program?
Young people today are growing up with real climate anxiety. Yet environmental studies, the one subject that should speak to this, is routinely treated as an afterthought in school. The bootcamp gives anxious, curious teens somewhere to channel their concern, moving from anxiety to agency over five structured weeks
Most climate programs ask teens to observe or memorise. This one asks them to write, design, campaign, and imagine.
You'll learn from youth who are already doing real work in the climate space, not aged experts telling you to "be realistic". You leave with a real body of work such as articles, zines, fiction writing, and a set of relevant skills in an ever-warming world - as well as a community that lasts beyond the summer.

Message from co-founder
A lot of students today are already encountering climate in different ways, through news, social media, and everyday conversations. But encountering something isn’t the same as having the time or space to really sit with it.
It can be hard to make sense of what you’re seeing, how things connect, or what to do with it.
This bootcamp comes from that. An attempt to create space for students to explore how climate connects to everyday systems, work through their own ideas, and turn them into something tangible.
If this is something you’ve been looking for, we’d be glad to have you.
