The internet of things or IoT is a network of 'things' that have sensors-like technologies that help connect data and systems along with a simultaneous exchange of information using the internet.
The IoT is a multi faceted tool that can actually benefit the sustainability movement in ways more than one. For example: IoT-based environmental monitoring systems can address the air pollution problem by providing real-time air quality data.
Another example is of increased productivity of farms and farmers by doing real time analysis of irrigation techniques, soil health and pest infestation.
What kinds of sensors are required for air quality monitoring and IoT?
