My current read is Leapfrogging to Pole Vaulting : Creating the Magic of Radical Yet Sustainable Transformation by Ravi Pandit and Raghunath Mashelkar. A book written by two engineers who urge readers to make the change from a stimulus driven leapfrogging to a more prepared and planned pole-vaulting as a solution to the problems we face. Their unique "3-4-7" formula finds a way to break down every complex problem into simple steps.

This sounds really interesting. Can you share more about this book? I would suggest the book "Dismantling Global White privilege" by Chandran Nair. It is not related to the topic you have mentioned but it provides great insights on the topics of dependency and status quo on the international level. There is much to think about in terms of power and leap frogging/pole vaulting as there are many vested interests in incumbent systems. These incumbents actively discourage others from changing for the better.
